Equiwinner Equine Non-Transdermal Payton (Box of 10)
Equiwinner is a patented, non-transdermal patch. It serves as a natural electrolyte-balancing system. Nothing goes into the horses body- it simply recognizes the electrolytes in the patches and responds to them.
- Safe, effective and easy to use
- Simple 10-day treatment costs less than constantly trying to treat or manage symptoms
- One single treatment can be effective for months, even up to a full year, when used as directed
- No side effects
- Wont test positive in ant competition, race or event or sport
- Equiwinner by Signal-Health has had success with horse bleeding EIPH, non-sweating, headshaking, tying-up, and improving performance
*DIRECTIONS*
- Brush up and down a small area of coat of the body of the horse, anywhere convenient such as on top of the hindquarter, but not the head or legs
- Take one Equiwinner Patch and remove the covering to expose the sticky area, taking care not to dislodge the two signaling centers
- Stick the Equiwinner Patch on the cleaner area, and press firmly
- Leave this patch on for approx 24 hours, then remove and discard it
- Immediately place another Equiwinner patch in any different clean position for a further 24 hours
- Continue to discard and put a new Equiwinner patch in any different clean position each 24 hours for a total of ten days
- Only one patch should be used at any one time
- Welfare-keep the horse in the shade 10am to 4pm in very hot climates
Conditions that Equiwinner Patch Can Correct:
- Exercise induced pulmonary hemorrhage (EIPH) including “bleeders” or blood in the trachea (windpipe)
- Headshaking for no known cause when the horse is exercised
- Fading effort or pulling up when an otherwise fit horse is asked for performance
- Distress or refusal for no known reason when asked for increased effort
- Dry or dull coat for no apparent cause
- Overheating from lack of sweat, or patchy sweating
- Equiwinner ensures full hydration and better performance
- Prevents stress in the horse when traveling in transport
Electrolytes are like spark plugs in your horses body, but to generate horsepower efficiently, they have to work properly. Equiwinner balances electrolytes to make them smart, so they work as efficiently as nature intended for optimum power, health and peak performance. Guaranteed.
Good things happen when electrolytes work properly:
- Muscle contraction is most efficient when calcium ion regulation is working properly
- Improved hydration keeps all organs working at peak
- Healthy blood volume will carry sufficient oxygen
- Improved circulation and capillary density increases oxygen exchange between blood and muscle
- More efficient sweating improves ability to perform will in heat
- Less stress during transport allows horses to arrive at destinations ready to compete
- Recovery time is reduced after competition
BLEEDING (EIPH):
Exercise induced pulmonary hemorrhage happens when increased blood pressure in the pulmonary capillaries lead to their rupture and blood leaking into the alveoli. Equiwinner resets electrolyte balance and starts to work almost immediately and, combined with only walking exercise for the total of 15 days, restores capillaries to prevent the extra high blood pressure. The lung tissue has scars caused by previous bleeding, and these scars will normally rupture, causing more bleeding, it smart electrolytes will allow the scars to fully heal during the 15 days.
HYDRATION:
A horse will get thirsty and drink readily when there is an increase in extra-cellular fluid sodium concentration in the body. When this system fails, the thirst signal is not triggered and a horse may not drink enough to stay hydrated.
SKIN & COAT:
Whether it’s itchy skin or a dull coat color, Equiwinner restores the horses natural defense against normal skin microbes as nature intended.
TYING-UP:
The many reasons for tying-up all have something in common. The normal homeostatic balance of the horse metabolic system is subjected to unexpected change. This may be a change of exercise or work routine, temperature, diet, stress, or a hormonal change, such as a mare in heat.
SWEATING:
aif the exact correct balance of electrolytes is not present in the horses normal perspiration, then protection against normal skin microbes entering some of the millions of sweat ducts in the skin is lost and the immune reaction to their presence blocks the duct and the horse cannot sweat properly, a condition known as anhidrosis.
HEADSHAKING:
Horses automatically shake their heads to throw off flies that land on their face or neck. This fly defense system is ON when flies are present as in summer daylight, and OFF when they’re not. Horse blood pressure rises naturally for speed and acceleration, but any obstruction of circulation will further raise it until blood vessel damage occurs. Some of this damage occurs in the skin, where both nerves and blood vessels surround the hair bulb. Nerve messages from the hair bulb trigger the head to shake, to throw off flies. Headshaking horses repeatedly perform the movement even where there are no flies present. Equiwinner resets electrolyte balance, restoring healthy unobstructed circulation to prevent the extra high blood pressure and stop the headshaking.
** it is not necessary to clip or shave the coat. If the horse has long coat hair then simply part the hair so that the Equiwinner patch signalling centers are close to the skin
Some coat hair is lost when the Equiwinner patch is removed, but this is normally hardly noticeable
Do not place the patch under a saddle, girth, or other tack. This would cause discomfort.
